The Artist’s Way Programmes

Creativity immersion that will change how you see the world

Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way is a 12-week guided exploration of the joys and the challenges of reawakening the creativity that we expressed so freely when we were young. When it was published in 1994 it became an immediate sensation and has grown to be a worldwide phenomenon with a family of connected books that Julia Cameron is glad to see shared in groups. The book shows how to break down blocks to creativity through weekly exercises, writing, and checking in with yourself, whether participants are Capital A Artists, or people who want to challenge themselves to regain the freedom of expression we can lose over time.

I’ve led Artist’s Way programmes for the past 5 years for an incredible group of female and non-binary creatives in the Firecracker Department. We’ve met online each week to discuss our reactions to that week’s work, to share inspiration in a private Facebook group and to support each other’s creative growth. I liked how Veronica took the temperature of the group and asked if we wanted to be held accountable for readings/am pages/artist’s date, and when the majority said no, she found a creative way to engage us and bring up topics of discussion that resonated with the chapter that week.
I liked how Veronica led the group, it was intuitive and responded to our unique vibe.
Loved all of it.
The material was motivating and knowing we would all be discussing each chapter at the weekly meeting helped me keep up
